The online gaming business in India is moving onwards and upwards. To take advantage of this trend, a large number of gaming startups have come into existence in the last few years.
One such gaming startup, Rein Games, has raised Rs 5 crore in seed funding.
This funding round was led by Ranjan Pai’s Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG) family office and Titan Capital, along with a few HNIs.
Rein Games will make use of the funds to streamline product development, bolster its team & acquire more users.
Ranjan Pai, Managing Director, MEMG, said, “Being an avid gamer myself, I know first-hand that the market for real money, skill-based gaming in India is poised for a big take-off.”
Online, real money gaming in India is pegged at Rs 2,000 crore by the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF). It‘s expected to grow 3.5x by 2025.
